Create Viral Hooks with Nano Banana and Veo 3 (AI workflow)

Creating Viral Video Hooks with Nano Banana V3 and Veo 3

You're about to learn how to create viral video hooks using Nano Banana V3, Veo 3, and ElevenLabs—just like the example you saw earlier. Let's dive in.

To start, you'll need your base video. Export the last frame as an image; this will be the one we edit with Nano Banana. Simply click "export frame" in your video editor and save the image.

Head over to Nano Banana. I'm using Nano Banana within Gemini, so I click "upload" and select the frame I just exported from Premiere Pro. Next, describe the character you want to transform into—this could be a superhero, robot, alien, or anything you imagine. For this tutorial, I’m turning myself into a bright pink alien with two antennas. Once I send the description and image, Gemini edits it with Nano Banana. The result: I’m now a bright pink alien. If the edit doesn’t look realistic enough, just reprompt it a few times until you’re happy. Download the full-size image once you have your new character.

Now, we move to Veo 3. In Veo 3, select "frames to video" from the menu. Upload the image you created with Nano Banana in Gemini, crop and save it, then input your prompt. For my prompt, I wrote: "The alien puts his hands in the air and says, 'All right, you got me. I'm an alien.'" I also specified "no music and no sound effects" to leave room for ElevenLabs enhancements later. Click "send" and let Veo 3 generate your video. Download the upscaled version once it’s ready.

Bring your new video into Premiere Pro. Now you have both the original footage and the transformed video. To create a seamless transition, you’ll need a "middle section." You already have your end frame from the original source; now create a start frame by exporting the first frame from the Veo 3-generated clip. Use any AI tool that allows video generation from start and end frames. In the UK, I’m using Midjourney for this effect.

In Midjourney, upload both your start and end frames—the original frame as the start, the Veo 3 frame as the end. For the prompt, I entered: "His skin turns blue and then he turns into an alien. No talking." I set motion to high for a more dynamic transition and selected HD output for better quality. Once the video is generated, download it and import it to Premiere Pro. Place it between the original and transformed clips as the transition. If the transition feels too slow, simply speed it up—reduce it from five seconds to one for a smoother look.

"To really sell the effect, adding sound effects is essential."

Next, let's enhance the effect with sound. Visit the ElevenLabs sound effects generator and describe the sounds you imagine for the transition—warp, speed ramp, and anything else that fits. Generate several effects, preview them, and download the best ones as WAV files at 48 kHz. Back in Premiere Pro, stack the chosen sound effects beneath your transition clip for a more dynamic impact.

"With these sound effects, your transformation feels much more immersive."

Now, let’s make the voice match the alien character. Export the audio from Premiere Pro and upload it to ElevenLabs Voice Changer. Search the voice library for an "alien" voice or create your own using voice design—describe your desired character, such as "blue alien quirky voice." Generate a few options, preview them, and select your favorite. Name and save the new voice.

Return to Voice Changer, find your custom voice, and click "generate speech." Download the processed audio and bring it back into Premiere Pro, lining it up with the original. Disable the original voice track, and now your video features a unique, character-appropriate voice.

"Customizing the voice completes the transformation and makes the hook truly viral."

"Combining visual effects, dynamic transitions, and unique audio turns an ordinary clip into a shareable moment."
